Груйчо и Позиционе (Gruicho i Pozicione) is an experimental collaborative project between writer Bistra Velichkova (Тренере), singer-songwriter Neor Nachev (МС Геннадий Майстора) and painter Margarita Omar (Лельо Марги).

The artists were in their school years at the time and hardly followed any music conventions. Their genre can best be described as "outsider music" or simply "простотия уейв". During that period МС Геннадий Майстора was influenced by Captain Beefheart's "Trout-Mask Replica", The Residents' "Meet the Residents" and The Velvet Underground.

The recording was made in a post-Soviet flat in Sofia, Bulgaria (1994) when Тренере was only 8 and МС Геннадий was 17 years old. Initially, the music was not intended for publishing.

Both the music and lyrics were created spontaneously during the performance. In the process, various instruments and sources of sound were used, ranging from electric and acoustic guitars, kaval (flute traditionally played throughout the Balkans), harmonica, radio receiver and a telephone. Notably, part of the vocals of some songs was recorded inside a washing machine.

23 years after the initial recording, the music was rediscovered by Лельо Марги following an encounter with the authors. Attracted by the music, Лельо Марги proposed to record additional instruments along with backing vocals and release an album.
